A quick "game" tutorial type thing for a silly little game, created using PetitCom/SmileBASIC on the Nintendo Switch.
If you've grabbed a copy from the Japanese eShop, you should be able to follow along, since the program itself now includes a complete English translation.
I'll assume you're using the program with a USB Keyboard attached, but if not, most of the keyboard functionality can be accessed by hitting the [-] button on your controller.

From the main menu, hit t...

This is not really a game idea.
I've seen you're using petitcomputer 4 on nintendo swich.
Do you like the basic coding language?
If yes, you can also make mobile games (cuz your little games could really go on mobile) for android using Rfo basic and Rfo compiler (if you don't want to pay a compiler, you can just use rfo-quick apk).

Light up five of the handlink's buttons so that all the surrounding values become zeroes.
Each value states how many squares in its row/column should be lit up, and will change along with your pushes, so a bit of analysis should allow you to solve the puzzle well enough.
You can Play Handlink in the Shoebox, under the Misc Games section.

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

The blocks are Quantum-Locked, so will all slide together.

A simple enough solitaire game.
13 piles are placed onto the table, with any Kings being pushed to the bottom of the pile.
You can shuffle the cards around the table, one at a time, placing a card onto a card one-higher, as long as it is NOT of the same suit.
eg, you can place a Nine of Diamonds on top of a Ten of Hearts, Clubs or Spades, but NOT onto a Ten of Diamonds.
The four foundation piles work as standard, and must be increased from Ace to King in the same su...

I tried to get this week's Shoebox game done, yesterday, but with so much GUI based stuff to do..
.. My head went "No, I'm sick to death of doing GUIs, this week!!" and decided to shut down.
I'm going to push ahead and try again, today. If not, we'll have to abandon the Shoebox release for this week, because I'm not really sure that any game I make, will fit my head's current need to do something other than yet another GUI driven thing!

I can't seem to get back into a "normal" AGameAWeek flow.
Which is an odd thing to say, given I've released 6 games in the past couple of weeks.

RSKGames says..

The animation of the icons on transition from main menu to sub menu and back looks cool.
Except the board games sub menu in all other sub menus the first row icons are way over the top such that half the icon is hidden above.
Took me a while to figure out exactly what he meant, as the exact number of onscreen icons relies on all sorts of screen resolution gubbins..
