v1.0 of my new version of the Icon Resizer.
Completely rewritten over the space of today.

Icon Resizer 2 takes a selection of icons, at whatever sizes you CAN be bothered to make, and outputs a whole array of (mostly iOS) different sized icons that you can use in your games.

Yesterday I got a rejection email from "OUYA" to say that my references to "OUYA" in the game The Final Warrior on "OUYA" was enough to get it rejected from being on "OUYA".
It seems that now that OUYA are no longer OUYA, and are now instead "Razer/Cortex", and as a result I need to stop making so many references to OUYA in my OUYA games.
.. Or something to that effect.
Changes have been made and the game re-uploaded, and hopefully the new edition will be pass...

I got my Apple TV yesterday, and it's exactly what I expected it to be.
In many ways, it's exactly the same as the previous model, and will no doubt be used for most of the same things.
But now it has games. Except the games have to work with that niggly little tiny touchpad, and if you play (for example) Geometry Wars 3 for about an hour (eek! That went quick!!) then you'll end up with your thumb feeling a little numb, as if you've been rubbing it on some sandpape...

Jumped back and forth through a couple of things, yesterday, but mostly spent more time working on the level builder.
Things are starting to look a little more varied, and thankfully the addition of vertical scrolling has added a little bit more.
I'm currently worried about making sure the levels are completable, as I haven't yet added an AI player run-through of the level, to ensure it's at least playable. I'll have to do that next, I suppose.
In the meantime...

I spent some time, yesterday, playing around with the menu system for SpikeDislike3. It's starting to look fairly usable, now, with it's little bouncing "Next Level" thing, and all the spikes and stars in the right places.
I still need to add some sort of boundary to the left, so that the "Infinity" levels are more apparent, but for the most part, the menu is nice enough, and actually functions the way it's supposed to!

So, after yesterday's realisation that the StarFlips game wasn't going anywhere, I opted to head back to "Larger Project" and see if I could get any more done on it.
Whether I continue with Larger Project, or instead switch to a smaller intermediate project, will be dependent on how much happens between now and.. Um.. Unspecified date!

Ok, so, I need a new archive.
It's been a good number of years since I originally created the Jayenkai Archive, and although the software's lasted through a fair number of rethemes, and a fair number of enhancements over the years, it all still pretty much has the exact same issues that it did on day one.

Since I seem to be having oodles of fun with the PaperArcade things, someone on Twitter asked for a template.
Not sure why "Upload the template!" hadn't crossed my mind, but if I'm honest, it's probably down to the fact that, in amongst all the chaos of getting my "Icon Resizer" to generate these things, I'd made the whole process very very specific to my development style!
I've been thinking about making a more user friendly app to do this, but for now we'll stick with the DIY method!

After a week or so of tweaking, testing and preparing, I've finally settled on a nice PaperArcade template, and have started uploading the lovely little papercraft models into my Archive.
These will be done weekly, along with the games, and older ones will be sporadically generated as I find time, and/or are bored!
