Flappadiddle-Doo and On A Space Shooting Trail are now both up on itch.io and GameJolt. The itch.io collection doesn't seem to be too popular, right now, but it'll be interesting to see if interest grows as the collection does. With GameJolt, there was a lot of excitement with my first couple of games, but then it all died down and went quiet. Hopefully itch.io turns out to be the opposite?! Current count Itch.io 2 - jayenkai.itch.io/ GameJolt 97 - gamejol...

Each time I release a game, the thoughts and comments come rolling in. Let's take a peek at this week's thoughts.

RSKGames

I find Flappadiddle Doo having the smooth gameplay like its predecessor and the polish found in ''Sheep Goes Right''.

I'm fairly happy that Flappadiddle-Doo is ready to go. Over the next hour or so, I'll recompile, get all the assets redone, and get things uploading. Meanwhile, last night was spent watching the 3D Printer printing the second test SoCoder ball.

Been playing the Windows edition of Flappadiddle-Doo for most of the day.. .. Playtesting, honest!! Had to play through the "World" levels over and over, just to be sure they're doable. Tweaks yet to be done, include making the "Bonus Multiplier" a bit more obvious. I'm not sure how best to do that, but it'll probably just end up being a star-system or a red/amber/green light thing... You'll know what I did, once it's ready! Once that's done, I'm going to spend the r...

Flappadiddle-Doo's main menu now has Worlds 1 to 6 listed, as well as Endless 1 to 6 too. The unlocks work, the extra characters are in, and everything's golden! Once everything's up and running, you'll be able to play through and unlock everything as you go. Hurray!!

It's hard to focus on the actual game, when instead I'm spending time fixing all the quirks in the framework.

Seems I've broken a few bits of the framework, this week. RSKGames has reported that the music seems to stop after a few seconds. Not quite sure why that might be, but it's definitely something to look into.

Stupid iOS! "Alert" says the debugger in XCode. And that's all. Quite what that means, I've no idea. Could literally be anything.

I've spent far too long, this week, trying to get Android and iOS Framework support up and running, but am going to have to leave it for the next few days.

Yeay! Thanks to all for testing. Rychan - I see the hitbox detection has been improved somewhat also which is cool A little more forgiving, this time. The original game was a little "too" mean when it came to bird vs flame hits!

We'll call this the proto-test, since I'm still not 100% sure things are going to run AT ALL, let alone well!!

This Tuesday we're kicking things off slowly. Each Tuesday through February, I'll be adding to Flappadiddle-Doo, to bulk it up beyond the original concept, and fixing up any quirks in my new Framework along the way. But once we hit March, I'll be heading into the regularly unplanned insanity of AGameAWeek.

(YouTube) Finally got the Bonus Eggs working the way they should. You can now collect them, flap around with them, and earn extra points by having them with you. Next up is adding Flame Bars back into the mix, to make the levels a little more difficult to navigate around. This time I'm hoping to make the levels a little more manageable, as the previous game occasionally spawned things in insanely implausible positions!!! But, yeah, things oughta be ok with this scoring mechanic. The scores I...
