Fight against the attacking invaders, and stop them from destroying your precious orb.
Note : An absolute TON of reuse in this game, even the music is a reuse. Sorry about that!!

Got a nice background effect going in Petit Switch, last night.
A parallax side-scrolling sky/ground thing, with trees and clouds swooshing by at high speed.
Today I need to decide on what sort of game should go on top of that.
I'm currently thinking some sort of fast paced shooter, a bit like Space Harrier, but only as a side-scroller, because I'm rubbish at pseudo-3d!

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

I must've started about half-a-dozen projects in PetitSwitch, yesterday, to try and figure out what this week's game might be.

Welcome to a mini-deathmatch scenario.
It's just you and the aliens, in this classic twin-stick shooter.
How long will you survive?

The Puzzobomb ProcGen isn't going very well. The levels are working, but they're not very hard at all.
No matter what I try, I can't seem to find a good way to make some proper puzzles.
Hmm..

Today, I've rejigged a lot of the framework's opening memory gubbins, although not the way I'd've liked.
In the end, rather than solving my memory management issues, I actually ended up stripping out the largest array completely, meaning that all additional lines (ship trail, bullet trail, explosion trails) in "On a Space Shooting Trail" are all now missing on the 3DS edition.
They're not anything you'll specifically miss, especially on the tiny 3DS screen, but .. they...

This week's game is the lovely neon shooter, On a Space Shooting Trail

Last year I played one the NeonPlat games and marveled at the neon graphics style. This game has the same style but the way the looks is achieved seems to have matured a lot. Using the new framework some crafty blending techniques have been used to convert the simp...

I seem to be making a new Horizontal Shooter.
Thus far, I've got bullets and a trail working, but I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the "Catch a bullet" mechanic of previous versions.
