I have a very very specific image in my head, and it's one that IF I dare to make an SVG art doohickey, is going to be at the absolute forefront when I begin.
Let's take a deck of cards, because.. Hey, I think I might end up using that!!

The gfx in the credits screen has a very good looking swirling ghost effect.
And what a lovely effect it is!

I didn't even bother giving it a proper name!! You already know what this game is.

You can Play Shoebox of Games here, and you'll find Match-3 alongside Same Game, in the Extras section.

The fonts also might need to be changed to a pixel art font to make it look good.
Early font-test prototype
I coded this a few weeks ago, to see if web-fonts did actually work properly on as many browsers as I could find, and ... for the most part, they seemed to work just fine, meaning I can technically create my own pixel-style font, upload it to the server and have it work without too many issues.

First up, I've decided to just let "Trails" be "Trails", and stop worrying about what the actual game might possibly have really been.

I added another Solitaire game to the Shoebox, last night, but it was entirely from memory, and my memory's starting to fade!!

Walls Blog
31st December 2018
Added Top Down Walls for dungeons and mazes and whatnot.
These walls are based on the walls I created about a decade ago, for Alien Deathmatch, and come in 4x4 sheets of tiles, with wall paths that should cover the majority of wall requiring purposes.
If you're in need of more specific tiles, you'll just need to improvise.
Hopefully they come in handy for future wall-based projects!

I tried about 3 or 4 different icon styles, last night, but can't quite find one to fit.

This week, RSKGames is one of very few players who've bothered to take a look at a bland and tasteless Generic Snake clone.
You can Download Generic Snake Game here

@RSKGames

All the trailers, screenshots and the hype from the devlogs for the generic snake game might have confused the regular readers of the blog what is all the fuss about. I guess the hype was about the story in the generic snake game.

It's been a long long time since I did a bog standard Snake clone, and yesterday's code session reminded me of just how utterly simplistic a snake clone can be.
Today I'll be making the tail follow the player, as it currently doesn't clear out as it goes, making things much harder for the player. Once that works, I'll be adding more tail-pieces as the player eats more, and then coming up with a soundtrack that matches the presentation of the game.

I'd love to tackle a new Alien Deathmatch sort of game, but I'm not really sure which way to take it.

I've spent roughly a decade working in multiple scales, resolutions and ratios.
I've dealt with Android, with it's 57,000 different possible resolutions. I've handled iOS with portrait/landscape orientations. I've coped with Windows with a bazillion different possible window sizes..
But 3DS, with one single screen resolution!?!
AARGH!!!

I find Flappadiddle Doo having the smooth gameplay like its predecessor and the polish found in ''Sheep Goes Right''.

Wiki Work Blog

Continuing my trek through the Blog, (fixing old broken links, adding references to associated games, etc) I'm now up to page... 150! Out of 5000+
As an example of how the Wiki will be grown, the Wiki page for Alien Deathmatch 2 is now nice and populated with just links to various blog posts.
I'll also need to add in elements that are on the game's release page, but AD2's actually surprisingly sparse, as far as that goes.
Once I've sifted through all the pages, adding ...

I started work on Draw-To-Buffer today, and managed to get a couple of basic functions into place.
Create buffer of X/Y size, Clear buffer, Fill buffer with X Colour, Draw a line to the buffer, and then the most important one.
