It's a Platform game, but it isn't.
It's a side-view Puzzle game, with Platformy events included.

I enjoyed my Month Off!
I've written a lovely quickstart framework, I've built a game and a half, I've posted more Tube vids and Tweets in a month than any month previously, I've tried to keep up the blog, AND I even had time to relax!!
A few games of GTA and Burnout meant my X360 was switched on for the first time in over a year!
I've been playing YouDon'tKnowJack on the iPod (Highly recommended, even if it is Americanised questions), and listening to months worth ...

Still fiddling around with the basics of NinjaDuck iOS, and have actually done a whole lot of work since yesterday. Although, you still can't see any of it yet.
I'm either going to have to set up a camera, or figure out a hacky way to do Accelerometer based gameplay in the Simulator.
eeek!
Yesterday Ninja Duck looked like this..

This week I remade Fantasy Center.
It didn't turn out well, I lost heart, and I have now, in fact, lost faith in the whole Cassette 50 project.
All these games really are a big bag of crap!

OK, I've gone through all the CPC Cassette, and here's the ones that initially jumped out as being at least vaguely redoable.
|update| Old Google Spreadsheet doesn't seem to work.. |update|
Next up, I'm going to start grabbing other editions, and going through them.
Well, I say next up, I've gotta make this week's first, though!
.. I'll go do that!

What follows is a review from PlayThisThing.com
I screengrabbed it, because they're probably going to fix the "little" thing at the top, and I want to continue to take the piss out of them.
Here's me taking the piss out of them.

Oops, forgot to post this, yesterday! No matter.
After last week's retro styled "random" game, I decided to go for something similarly retro, but much less random.
I've drawn some supercheap gameboy style sprites, and have been building a batch of quick and easy jumpy platform levels.
I've done 11 levels so far, and am going to go the "Start from level 1, see how far you can get" route, so theres no checkpoints or anything. Just start, and hope you don't die..

In windows, to add a tab to the left of 3 or 4 lines, I've settled into the habit of doing either one of two things..
1. Up, Home, Tab, Up, Home, Tab, Up, Home, Tab, Up, Home, Tab.
Which goes up per line, heads to the far left, then places a tab.

I did post the pre-release of NeoPlatDS, this week, so that's nice.
If you want to give it a whirl, try (URL "https://desmume.org/">DesMuMe), it's what I used 95% of the time during development, and has now overtaken No$GBA as my dev-emu of choice.
I can't get FAT read/write working on it, though, so you'll have to make do without highscore load/saving. Other than that it runs nicely, and the default keys are easy to remember.
Cursors to move, Z to throw, X to jump.
Exactly the s...

54 games. Last year I only managed about 30-odd, so I think that's pretty good going.
Sure, it might not have truely actually been A Game "Per" Week, but I did at least keep the ratio up.
If I hadn't taken the time out to build the framework, I probably would've actually achieved the target a little better
The stats show I was pretty much on top of things up until that point, but then things got slower and slower until my buffer zone was all dried up.
Anyhoo, this is a n...

My super copyright infringing retro game is back!

But then, I also made ScoreRack, this week, too.. So it all evens out!

With all the Mac stuff, I've not had a chance to do a new game.
NOOoooooo!!!!!!
I suppose I could rush something in the next 24 hours, but I'm much rather be playing with those extra trimming, and getting things a little nicer.

First off, Gravity Bombs. Not touched it yet, but it definitely needs at least one tweak. .. the Mac's "Superior" (bah) Magic Mouse has a lot going for it, but it also has an inability to right click whilst holding down the left mouse button. Which is prett...
