I've gotten JMTracker up to a semi-working state, but still have to add test settings for things like Tempo and Instrument selection, as well as a proper Load requester. But so far, so good, and it's a vaguely decent output.. I think!! Although only a proper set of melodies and actual ingame usage will tell for sure..

The game can be downloaded using the Public Code 424JQK3NJ Head into the top right projects thing, then hit R twice to access the Online games, then hit X (iirc!) and enter the PublicCode. Job done! SPIIIIIiiiIiike!!!

I spent hours, yesterday, playing with Petit Computer on Switch. I think I'm almost done with SpikeDislike, and the second session went much smoother.

Today marks the initial Japanese release of Petit Computer for Switch (PetC4) and .. well, I'm a coding addict, so you know I HAVE to at least get SpikeDislike up and running. I asked @CraigGrannell last night if the "swoopy" menus were a bit too much for his motion sickness issues, and he replied that it was.. For me, a bit, yeah. I thought as much when I added those Tap Swoopy things, but it's good to get a little confirmation.

This is something that I added to Snakes and Ladders, as it's been a rule we've always played at home, and since Board of Spikes is more or less a clone of Snakes and Ladders, I opted to leave that rule in. Today I played Board of spikes and Ludo in android mobile. This is the first time I am playing shoebox of games in mobile and I found it to be a very good experience. Took a little bit of effort to place the ludo pieces initially but then it became easier.

A simple Snakes'n'Ladders style game, using cards. Use one of the cards from your hand to select how many spaces you'll move. If you land on a Spike, turn it over to see what will happen. You'll either end up moving forwards or backwards, so lets hope that luck is on your side. You can Find 'Board of Snakes' in the Board Games of the Shoebox.

Unless my mind turns to mush again, I'm fairly confident that I should be able to finish the Spike Boardgame thing, today.

Still on a bit of a go-slow, here. It doesn't help that the weather's been absolutely gorgeous over the past few days, so much so that the need to sit and relax in the sunshine has taken precedence over standard coding duties.

Seems my head wasn't quite ready to get back into an all-day coding session like I was aiming for.

Issue : The cards take up a curious amount of space. I'm currently trying to find the best way to display both the game board, and a hand of cards, without it being silly..

Right, I was halfway through the "Extra" card, wasn't I.. Maybe some kind of quick board game that makes use of those? I had considered doing a Snakes and Ladders style game but with cards for movement, so .. Yeah, I think I might attempt something like that, today.

Lots of comments, lately, as the Shoebox has essentially thrown any kind of regular AGameAWeek schedule well out of the window. I should probably look into fixing that, and getting back to a more regular schedule. Hmm.. Anyway.. RSKGames has submitted a few thoughts on Cardagain, so let's have a post about that! I was very lucky that in my first game I did not get into any snake tiles and got the help of one ladder tile to reach near the end zone much before the AI. Yup, this is a game 100% down to luck. I'd like to perhaps remove the sheer-luck, by making the moves maybe Card based, or something? Not quite sure how well that would work, and it honestly wouldn't be "Snakes and Ladders" anymore. So.. Perhaps another type of board game in the future?
