After yesterday's Petit Switch release, I took a few hours break, and came back to coding later in the day. My plan was to rearrange a few sections of this website, and try my best to improve the way the Petit Switch page looks.

Handy Hint : Subscribe to my YouTube channel to get videos of games I'm about to release. They usually appear about 12 hours before I release them, because after faffing about making the video, and uploading the video, I'm usually too tired out to actually post the game to the site, and instead leave it for the morning!

Last night I thought "What game can I whip up in a few hours", and out popped Vexed. That's today's Advent Treat, but don't be expecting a brand new game every day!! It's in the Shoebox, now, and I'll post it in a jiffy.

The old AGAW native games used to have a feature in the credits screen where the gamers can see how many times they have played the game.

A fishing game for Foldapuz? The idea popped into my head, last night. It's going to be a slightly different design style for this week's game. Nothing more than a simple word game, but with a pre-drawn background image with a little fisherman on it. .. Requires the ability to draw.. Might not go well! We'll see.

"Jimper" is available in the Misc section of Shoebox. I'll be posting it to the site in a short while. Once that's done, along my usual flood of #ScreenshotSaturday tweets, it's time to get thinking about the next Browsercade game. *shrugs*

I managed to draw some simple looking characters, little huts, trees and the all important flag, yesterday. Got the basics of the tilemap working, got the little cadets running around like they oughta, and ... That's enough, right!? Twitter Link

I forgot that, this week, I also figured out a nice way to get the QWERTY keyboard to pop up for both Hangman and Triplets in the Shoebox. There's now a little subtle [QWERTY]/[ABC] button that shows up in the top bar of the screen. Tap that to switch between the two keyboards. Oddly, I actually find the ABC keyboard easier to use, and that's really really odd!!

Much the same as yesterday. A bit of Plat in a Spin, and a bit of Pool. Hopefully I can get these two done in time for their scheduled releases. I'm still not 100% sure I can do Pool in just a few days, but since I have nothing else planned, I guess I'll be doing that!!

Yesterday was such a busy day that I got the entire Browsercade game started, finished and uploaded, all within the space of about 7 or 8 hours.

Oh, boy, the complexities of Amiga Day!!!

The Microbes game is coming along nicely for Petit Switch, and I *think* I'm making a Minigolf for Shoebox, but that all depends on how well the controls work.

I need to come up with a game for this week's Petit Switch game, and I'm running out of old games that I can quickly cobble together!! I have one idea in mind, but can I manage it in just a couple of days?! The quest to make hundreds of games never ends!! Oh, but first I have to complete that boss-fight in Zelda that I left half unfinished, last night!!

The fact that the die is white at the beginning of your turn, and also white after you roll makes it unclear at a glance whether the die's current value is your actual move. Not sure what the solution is. Maybe dimming the die or displaying question marks on its faces in pre-roll mode, and the normal white with pips in post-roll mode? A valid point. Petit Switch is mostly faultless, but there's one slight quirk that tripped me up, yesterday. When you save your code, you hit Ctrl+S, then it flashes up "Are you sure you want to save 'Project/main.prg'?" and then you hit OK, and it says "Are you REALLY sure you want to save 'Project/main.prg?'", and then you hit OK and then it saves.

*phew* Yeah, I knew that wasn't going to be easy...
