Last night I thought "What game can I whip up in a few hours", and out popped Vexed. That's today's Advent Treat, but don't be expecting a brand new game every day!! It's in the Shoebox, now, and I'll post it in a jiffy.

Back to another slow day, yesterday, as I struggled to get much of anything done. I think I *might* be trying to squeeze too many projects into a week, right now, but Super Secret Side Project has me doing side-tweaks when I'm supposed to be resting!

In the past 24 hours, I've.. 1. Finished off the Army of Flags game. 2. Wrote this week's Foldapuz game. 3. Wrote about 95% of this week's Petit Switch game. A good day!

Today I need to figure out how I'm going to do the controls for Army of Flags in the Browsercade.

OK, let's ignore the fact that I've no Browsercade game to post today, and carry on as if everything's normal! Today I need to come up with a Foldapuz game, and get that working my midnight. Hurray! I also have a friend coming around with a broken laptop that needs fixing, which I'm hoping isn't anything hardware related, because I'm RUBBISH at fixing hardware issues. If I can't click a problem away, then I'm stumped. As well as that, I've got to start work on ...

I tried my best to get a vertical scrolling shooter up and running in a day, but.. nah.. This week's Browsercade game will be held off until next week.

Last night.. Finished off this week's Browsercade game (Spiky Tower is available on the site, proper release posts coming soon) Started this week's Petit Switch game (Petit Clampett can run around, but the level generator needs a ton of work) And then..

I rewrote a few parts of "My Little Rescue Helicopter" over on Petit Switch. Today I need to add in the little characters to rescue, and then decide on the best mechanic for enemy aircraft. I was never 100% happy on how the shooting controls worked, so that needs a rethink. Otherwise, that should all be ready for a Friday release.

Blimey, General thoughts! Usually I don't get a chance to look at the ins and outs of the general frameworks and such, once I've started using them. But the new Javascript-based frameworks allow for realtime tweaking, and also fixing old broken things along the way, too. Cool!! So, if you've ANY thoughts about ANYTHING relating to the Browsercade/Shoebox/Foldapuz stuff, please do share, and I'll try my best to keep these sort of posts coming.

One of the hardest things, moving ahead, is going to be coming up with all the ideas for all the different sets of games that I'm making. Currently the Petit Switch and Browsercade games are simple rewrites of older games, but at some point I'm definitely going to have to make a few new ones.

You recently complained about all your old photos not working when clicked on, but I've noticed that all the photos are still available, just the links are broke. You and/or your Wordpress Crew needs to dig through the database and fix a teensy tiny issue. Lots of little things to do, today. This week's SoCoder Newsletter needs oodles of waffle in it, since the forum's been understandably quiet. It's too hot to stare at a forum, all day!! I also need to upload this week's ALChoon, and I haven't yet attempted to do a .XM of it. Hmm..

1. People seem utterly baffled by the start-screen of Browsercade. I put that there, because a lot of browsers need a single click before they initiate any audio, but seemingly people are instead "waiting" for it, and think the thing's broken. D'oh!!
