Pogo The Fridge

Liked the health bar mode for life instead of the 3 life stickers in the original. The fridge getting beaten up sprites for each bullet hit is a nice touch.

I'd love to round off my "Week Off" with a Sleepy Sunday, but unfortunately, I've got a game to finish for tomorrow!

Today marks the initial Japanese release of Petit Computer for Switch (PetC4) and .. well, I'm a coding addict, so you know I HAVE to at least get SpikeDislike up and running. Played ''Shuffled Tracks'' and was quite surprised to find such a polished game done in 2 days. You'd be surprised.. ... The game was almost ready to go, yesterday!! Most of today's coding session was spent fixing up the generator to make the levels more difficult.

Played the tutorial levels. Couldn't complete the navigation level 4 (I am not fast enough to get down and get up on the bar) and dangerous creatures level 2 (always got killed by the flying creature).

Yesterday was quite a productive day, but one that needed a whole boatload of tweaks just to get the pushable blocks to work correctly. Exactly half of the intended "original" tiles are currently functional.

(YouTube) The video above shows a bunch of the stuff I've been doing, today. The travellators were working the other day, as was the ability to hop up onto a ledge. But pretty much everything else is new. ..or at least, new to this edition. If you're a fan of previous JNKPlat games, this should all be fairly standard stuff.

Generic Snake Clone is now around about 30% of what I'd like.

Progress : The ball has gone. Now the main character hops up and down, instead.

A very relaxing puzzle game with right mixture of difficulty with 225 levels. Crikey. He's only gone and completed the entire game!!

I need to come up with a nice concept for the art style of this week's game. Hopefully I can easily manage to do bog-standard sprite recolouring on the actual "path" tiles, but I'll have to draw all the different angles and things, for the turns they could take .. Urgh.. At least they're only one-way paths, and won't do crossovers or anything like that. That would be extra complicated!
