I've usually started some crazy Arty Tool by this point in Advent, but housey things are still filling up all the spare time that I'd normally have.

Seems like "Daily stupid remix based on samples from Otakupunk's Advent Calendar" is going to be a thing over Advent, so..
*shrugs*

Gosh, I really struggled to come up with anything productive, yesterday.

Spent HOURS yesterday doing the Salford Neurosurgery appointment.

As is it wasn't enough seeing Doctor Who on Saturday, today I get to head up to Salford and meet a new Doctor!

Trying to squeeze in little bits of my regular schedule in-between all the forms and phone calls and other such things, and it's just not happening, at all.

Things are looking fairly close, now.
We're sitting, waiting on tenterhooks, in the hope that we get some final-date news at some point today or tomorrow.

Our solicitor is struggling to get hold of the buyer's solicitor, to finalise the deal.
But it's Friday, and on previous Fridays, the two have also struggled to communicate.
I firmly believe their solicitor takes Fridays off, and given ours takes Mondays off, there's only really 3 days they can contact each other.
.. And that's just not enough!!! *grumble*

The buyers have to withdraw their saving from their ISA to (presumably) pay the deposit on the mortgage, and "then" the mortgage will take another 5 or so days to clear.
We're looking at maybe a couple of weeks? Maybe longer?
.. But.. Man, have I said that, before!!!
Let's just wait and see, huh?

The endless waiting is driving us crazy.
The buyers need at least 5 days for their mortgage to get through.
.. Is that all we're waiting for, now?!

"I still await confirmation from your buyers solicitor they are ready to proceed"
We're still waiting for a 100% tick on the sale of the house, but apparently everything Bungalow Side is good to go.
We're 95% of the way there.
Let's just hope the buyers don't pull out, now, after waiting so damn long.

The new TV arrives at some point incredibly soon, according to the tracking information.

This week's going to be one of those weeks, isn't it..

"I think we packed too early", says Mum.
She's probably right, but it sure beats the rush that would've happened otherwise.
I don't think my body/mind could've coped with last minute packing.

The Bungalow Buying contract has now been signed by us.
The House Selling contract was signed last month.
That should hopefully be everything signed, now.
Ready to go!

Today will be mostly resting, other than all the other bits and pieces I have to do.

Our phone's switchover to the new Router-based phone line "should" be happening at some point today.
I also have to update Mum's iPhone/iPad to iOS17, at some point, too.
I think that's going to be the theme of today. Updating.

I drew a new version of Greenie yesterday, and fed it into the LoRA training for Stable Diffusion.
And this morning I went back to the old one.

Another weekend, and even less going on.
On the plus-side, we got contracts to sign for the bungalow, which is nice.

iPad, iPhone and MacBook are all "Hey, let's update!!" this morning.
The Mac and iPad are both on the beta path, so are getting the most recent update, but what's the iPhone doing?!
Just a purely random update for no reason?

No.. No they aren't.. Because Virgin Media's Landline network has gone super wonky!

One thing that's been holding us up, over the past THREE MONTHS has been "Who's the Freeholder".
And, the further we delve into that, the more complicated it's getting.
Down the rabbit hole we go!

Today I have to phone the council up, again.
To get the freeholder's name, again.
And get it in writing this time, so the Solicitor doesn't spend ANOTHER MONTH trying to figure out something that took me 10 minutes on the phone to find out.
