Yesterday I recreated Hoppy Bobby in the Advent Calendar. It's not an amazing feat, but it is at least something.
Other than that, I spent some time rejigging Neon Bike Championships for OUYA, and also sent PlayJam a copy so they can test it to see if it's Multiplayer code is any less crappy than JNKBombers was. I'll keep that copy aside, incase they decide it is indeed worthy of a proper upload, but if you don't ever see it on GameStick/FlarePlay, that'll be why.

On previous releases of "Arcade Slots" games, people have consistently whinged that the games are "TOOOOOO RANDOM!!!". They then inexplicably ignore the actual game, and get stuck in a "OMG! ITS RANDOM!" loop, whereby they can't seem to enjoy the games at all.
Of COURSE the games are Random! They're supposed to be random! It's a flamin' Slot Machine.. That's the whole bloomin' point of slot machines!

No other Top-10 lists appear to want to give any of my games any recognition at all, which kinda sucks since I've made a whole bunch of REALLY great games, this year! I don't even get a token "Made a shitload of games, this year" mention!

There's not been a lot of stand-out stuff popping up on the old time-machine. Sure there's been a whole pile of games, but nothing that's really been noteworthy, so for the most part I've kind of been ignoring this section of the site.
Today, however, a lovely little game popped up, and I spent a good hour playing the thing! Whoops!!

As unplanned as AGameAWeek usually is, I at least have a rough idea of what'll be occurring.
Tuesdays, release a game. Wednesday's think about a game idea. Thursday/Friday start a game. Saturday/Sunday bulk the game out where necessary/possible, and Monday finish things up before we release it on Tuesday and start it all over again.
Along the way, we get trips into the AGameAWeek Gold archive, and there are other oddities like the Uninteresting Wallpapers, and other silly little things.

As we continue our trip down memory lane, I'm starting to head off into odd new directions.
This week, I'm remaking a game that I made for DS, but never got around to doing a proper fully fledged Windows edition of.
Obviously, though, a game full of Sprite-Rips isn't going to cut it in Apple's AppStore. .. Actually, given how fucking often those things somehow manage to get approved, I probably could, but let's not chance it!

We're getting back into the swing of things, now!
Here's a quickly remake of a game I did a long while ago as Nintendo DS homebrew. The basic idea was that you take a classic arcade game, and rework it so that it fits the logic and rules of a slot machine. Worked out nicely, and the DS edition ended up with 6 of these games to play, along with a nice "score to unlock" mechanic.
This is merely the Pacman edition.
If its popular, I might add some more, but if I'm honest, Id rat...
