NeonPlat Extreme sees most of the elements of the NeonPlat series of games, all cobbled together into one great big lump sum.
There's lots of fun little things to play around with, and for the most part it's the same single-screen platforming action you've come to expect.

NeonPlat Extreme is now available on iOS, Android, OUYA and Windows!

Yet another case of AGameAWeek Gold being strangely interconnected with other events in my life!!
Today, I posted about Star Trek Pong 3 earlier today, and it got me thinking about the even older Amiga edition.
Curiously, I also recently purchased a USB Capture device for my PC. I wanted to output all my consoles and computers through my PC's monitor. It has a HDMI port, but a Scart->HDMI device seemed a little pricey.
Being the cheapskate that I am, I instead settled for a Capture de...

<img src="https://socoder.net/AGAWGold_256.png" style="float:right"> Aaah, March 2010. The month of MAR10! I decided to dedicate the entire month to Mario, and spent the whole month remaking classic AGameAWeek games, but with Mario costumes on all the characters!
I remember it like it was yesterday.
Except it wasn't yesterday.

The Plan!
NeonPlat Classic is the original edition.
If I hurry up and quickly build a version of that on iOS, I can get it released in time for my Birthday, then have a 24 hour giveaway like I did with SpikeDislike last year.

When I was building the beta versions of NeonPlat Adventures, it always included a little readme file.
The final release didn't have one, but I figured that was ok, because it was so simple it didn't really need one.
The original readme was only really there to explain that beta peeps shouldn't mention the Calendar, and then I kinda rambled on a bit!
Anyhoo, if you find yourself in desperate need of a readme file, this is it!

Got the Google Plus thing today and spent about an hour or so playing about with it's features.
Twitter Lists seems the closest thing to it, in that you follow people, separate them into different groups, then flick through the groups to read/interact.
Unlike Twitter Lists, though, here the grouping works both ways.. Now I could happily clump a bunch of iOS reviewers into a single group and quickly fire off a PR'ish spam bucket to all of 'em at once, without pissing off all my regular "we want c...

This is it. End of the road for Jay's relaxation time!
Today's Tuesday, no game today, kinda, sort of..
Today I submitted Stringy Things (2 games) to the AppStore for review. That should be properly done by.. um.. about December, at current Review speed!
So, what about AGameAWeek?

I did post the pre-release of NeoPlatDS, this week, so that's nice.
If you want to give it a whirl, try (URL "https://desmume.org/">DesMuMe), it's what I used 95% of the time during development, and has now overtaken No$GBA as my dev-emu of choice.
I can't get FAT read/write working on it, though, so you'll have to make do without highscore load/saving. Other than that it runs nicely, and the default keys are easy to remember.
Cursors to move, Z to throw, X to jump.
Exactly the s...

An early caffeine fuelled start has lead to a nice NeonPlat trailer, which actually took about two hours... But who's counting!?

I didn't keep a track of how/when I pieced this together, mostly because I kinda just jumped into it this morning, but it went ...

A couple of days ago I posted my first test compilation of a Mac game.
I asked for test-based feedback, and absolutely nobody responded, whatsoever. We're just going to have to go for the "Worked on mine, *shrugs*" approach for these!!
Today, I'm rereleasing the game from Wednesday with a quick fix, and also releasing a bunch of other games that I've written in BlitzMax.
We've also got JNKPlat and Gravity Bombs to come, but I want to tweak those a little before I rerelease them.
Any...

At the start of this week, I completed a nice quick game of Atoms for my phone, so here's that..

It's a classic Amiga PD game from many many years ago. Tap to place an atom, place too many to explode them, capture all the tiles you can.
Simple gameplay, but lots of fun!
