Scrapped another game, last night. That's about 5 games I've started and abandoned in the space of a few days. I can't seem to focus on anything, at all, and it's getting rather silly. Can I make an entire game, today? Probably not. *sigh* Make your mind up, and make some games, Jay!

Suggested by Michael Fernie (feel free to make suggestions!) this week's game sees our unnamed hero searching for the key to the dungeon door. Carrying only a flaming torch, can you defeat the enemies and reach the exit? You can Play Take This Torch in the Browsercade, on your Browser, on Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.

The Browsercade game's been uploaded since late last night, and now it's time to think about Foldapuz, instead.

Most of yesterday was spent in Family Mode, with not a terrible amount of coding going on. I did at least manage to add a single enemy type to the maze game, and usual key/door mechanic is working well enough.

Spent most of yesterday trying to make this effect look half-decent. Kinda works, I guess.. The flickering of the torch helps disguise the terrible way I did the light effect. It's not 100%.. It's more like 60%!! *shrugs* Now to add gameplay.

I'm slightly tempted to make a particular game for Browsercade, this week, but it really needs multiplayer (Local, via plugging in extra gamepads!) and if I'm being honest, my gamepad support still isn't quite as good as it should be.

Not a fan of Thursdays. Why do they always make Thursdays so busy!? SoCoder Newsletter, ALChoon, PetitSwitch game, and I also have to go for another blood-test, too. So many things to do!

Yesterday's PetitSwitch session went rather well, but once I got the basic mechanics working, I was at a loss as to where to go next.

A maths game, this week. Try to fill out the grid of numbers so that the sums on the right are all correct. The Foldapuz game took a while to get started, mostly because I didn't have a bloomin' clue what to do. I'm definitely starting to run out of ideas for that thing. Might be time to think about retiring it, or at the very least, not forcing myself to come up with something every single week.

Seems like the Google Form I set up for posting ideas isn't working 100% for .. well, barely anyone. OK, I THOUGHT (according to comments on half-a-dozen websites) that the issue I was having with the cache was a "Leave it for 24 hours and it'll magically update" one. I've left it for about 28 hours, and still Edge Chromium isn't updating the spritesheet for the game, thus... For me at least.. None of the sprites for Handlink are showing up. They ARE showing up in Firefox, Chrome and iOS Safari. So, um. If you're in the mood, give it a whirl and let me know what happens for you. Do...

Light up five of the handlink's buttons so that all the surrounding values become zeroes. Each value states how many squares in its row/column should be lit up, and will change along with your pushes, so a bit of analysis should allow you to solve the puzzle well enough. Having to wait 24 hours for the new cache method to work for Shoebox, I instead decided to start work on adding the new Cache method of Browsercade.

Yesterday was a fairly significant downer. Terrible news on the home-front, and all plans were off.
