Yesterday's PetitSwitch session went rather well, but once I got the basic mechanics working, I was at a loss as to where to go next.

A maths game, this week. Try to fill out the grid of numbers so that the sums on the right are all correct. The Foldapuz game took a while to get started, mostly because I didn't have a bloomin' clue what to do. I'm definitely starting to run out of ideas for that thing. Might be time to think about retiring it, or at the very least, not forcing myself to come up with something every single week.

Seems like the Google Form I set up for posting ideas isn't working 100% for .. well, barely anyone. All the hundreds of thousands of people bombarding the form, and only one person managing to post anything?! That can't be right!!! OK, I THOUGHT (according to comments on half-a-dozen websites) that the issue I was having with the cache was a "Leave it for 24 hours and it'll magically update" one. I've left it for about 28 hours, and still Edge Chromium isn't updating the spritesheet for the game, thus... For me at least.. None of the sprites for Handlink are showing up. They ARE showing up in Firefox, Chrome and iOS Safari. So, um. If you're in the mood, give it a whirl and let me know what happens for you. Do...

Light up five of the handlink's buttons so that all the surrounding values become zeroes. Each value states how many squares in its row/column should be lit up, and will change along with your pushes, so a bit of analysis should allow you to solve the puzzle well enough. Having to wait 24 hours for the new cache method to work for Shoebox, I instead decided to start work on adding the new Cache method of Browsercade.

Yesterday was a fairly significant downer. Terrible news on the home-front, and all plans were off. Bad news is what it is, and there's not a lot I can do about it, but it's certainly something that puts a stop to all the things you're doing. Today I'll try to get my mind back into its normal place, and see if I can make a game. The Shoebox is now using the "Server Worker" method of caching, instead of the older AppCache style. With any luck, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference, and everything will continue to work swimmingly. I'm not sure what the exact rule for cache-update-checks is, especially if you're playing with an "Add to Home Screen" kind of bookmark, but it appears to be doing a decent job of keeping up to date.
