2 weeks in, and I've already ballsed it up!

This week, I've been working on the game Penguin Parade. This is a semi sequel to the game that appeared in Alpha Collexion, but in reality is more of a Lemmings clone. Over the course of this week, I've built a sturdy engine, made a few "skills", and got a decent control method to work on gamepads.  I've animated a penguin, and got a few GUI elements in place, and .. For the past couple of years, my pixelart font has been coming more and more standardised, so today* I randomly decided to try turning it into a "proper" .ttf font. .. although, technically, I think this is meant to be December's, it just got delayed with Xmas and New Year! Each month I receive the wonderful Arcade Block from (URL "https://NerdBlock.com">NerdBlock.com) When you initially sign up, you give them a T-Shirt size, and every month you get a lovely Arcade related TShirt, along with a box full of odd pieces of tat. Some of the tat is garbage, some of the tat looks nice on a shelf, and occasionally some of the tat is pure awesomeage!

I sat down to do a lot of coding, yesterday, but for some reason wasn't really in the mood. Instead, I opened the big box of Lego that I got for Xmas. I hadn't previously opened the Doctor Who Tardis Lego set, because I knew it'd require a LOT of table space to put it all together, and since it was Xmas/New Year, the dining table was in use!! With New Year done and dusted, I opened the box, placed the pieces into little dishes, and spend roughly 5 hours building the thing up. ...

In the next few days, we're at the beginning of a brand new year, and I've been spending a lot of time, this week, making sure that everything's going to go smoothly. .. Or at least, not entirely awful!

Beta Collexion is currently on the frontpage of GameJolt. They've decided to promote it, now that it's a complete 26 game collection. I crammed my arse off making sure I got the entire game done in time for the 1st of December, so that everyone could enjoy the Advent(ure) over the course of December.
