Yesterday was mostly spent adding little tweaks and tiny elements to JNKPlat.

Whilst sitting wondering what other games I could add to Foldapuz, I received an email, from regular emailer Michael, suggesting I should add a few instructions to the site's various games.

I spent most of yesterday working on the Foldapuz site.

Spent an insane amount of time reformatting the URL so that I can add the new Words/Maths/Logic shortcut URLs into the mix. Seems to function well enough, and should allow people to quickly pick their favourite types of puzzles from the site. Additionally added a very brief set of instructions for the games in the "How To" page. Hopefully that's enough instructions to get the player going. As always, let me know if it isn't!

The site has been moved to a new server, and I've rewritten a bit of the cache code, so it all works a little bit faster. Added Logic Battleships, which Dabz suggested, right at the very start of this project. Sorry it took so long!

Seems folk are managing to understand the complexities of JNKPlat enough to trust the two button jump mechanic. *phew*

Played the tutorial levels. Couldn't complete the navigation level 4 (I am not fast enough to get down and get up on the bar) and dangerous creatures level 2 (always got killed by the flying creature).

We start things off with "The Unfinished Beta" At this point, I've been working on JNKPlat 2018 for about a month. The whole of September (except for the week when I had flu, and it completely floored me) has been spent recreating the wonderful world of JNKPlat. The game runs well enough on 3DS and PC alike, and is currently up to a decent enough state that I've opted to release the current version as a "demo" of sorts. Since having that horrific flu, a couple of weeks ago, my left ear has been in a "popped" state, meaning everything's been muffled and inaudible.

Today I did quite a bit for the Tutorial side of JNKPlat. I've added subtle little hints around the first few levels, to help guide the player on their quest.

Today I really need to figure out what the heck I'm doing, as far as Tutorials go.

Ok, server woes over with, it's time to head back to Plat. Tonight I set up the Demo edition. It has 5 simple tutorial'y level packs to play through and includes the current version of the editor.

There's a number of quirks on the new server, but for the mostpart things seem to be more or less functional.

I'd planned to spend this weekend finishing off a demo/trial/whatever of JNKPlat 2018. Instead, I'm having to spend the time setting up a whole new bloomin' server.

The previous hosts, KloudhostUK have been acquired by HostPresto, and last night saw them moving hundreds of sites from the old servers to the new ones.

A quick tweak to the Word Ladder generation. It was getting rather silly, and replacing letters with letters it'd previously used, leading to very repetitive ladders.

I added an Algebra puzzle to Foldapuz, last night, but once I realised the way to solve it, it unfolded into a ludicrously simple bit of maths.

After realising how bloomin' simple yesterday's version of Solve A,B,C was, I spent an hour or so trying to find the most convoluted of puzzles. I think the maths should be fairly complex, now, but am more convinced than ever, that figuring out the solution isn't as mathematically simple as it should be. Added Move One Digit, which needed a brief explanation. Currently considering adding a similarly short description to each of the panels.

About time I added one of these. It was always my intention to add one to the "Enter Your Name" screen, but.. Lazy Jay!! I never got 'round to actually adding the thing. Today, I've done that. And, boy, was it complicated!

Further tweaking to the Find a Way maze generator. Things are hopefully a little more varied, now, and I've also upgraded the solution display. Added Solve A, B, C. (Thanks to Liam Kelk for suggesting it.) I'm not 100% convinced that it's do-able, and will have to sit and try to solve a few of the puzzles over the next day or two.. Quite honestly, my maths brain has melted from all the coding, tonight!!

Guess I wasn't quite fully recovered, yet.

Yesterday was definitely me getting back to normality.

I successfully added teleporters to JNKPlat2018. First proper bit of coding I've done in days. Mojo = Back Now, more to code.

Get out of this Flu-Funk, and try my damndest to get some bloomin' coding done.
