Things will probably be fairly quiet around here for the next few days. As soon as I'm allowed to post about it, I will do. Suffice to say, the past couple of days haven't exactly been the cheeriest at home, and it's been fairly rough sailing. Normal service will resume ASAP

I spent yesterday with the family.

KORG Gadget 2 released, yesterday morning, on iOS, Mac and also now on Windows. As such, I took a day off from coding, and instead spent the day playing with the iOS edition of the app.

I did a few tweaks to the framework, yesterday. There's now a mute button in the pause/escape menu, which works.. (For a few hours, it was there, but did absolutely nothing!!)

Michael emailed, late last night, to complain about the scaling on one of the games. "No," thought I, "That should be working fine.."

It's hard to keep from breaking things when they're already live on the server.

With extreme apologies, I've just deleted everyone's highscores in Shoebox! (Don't lynch me!!)

Had another "This game isn't possible" email, this morning, about the blocking of the Draw Pile in Spider Solitaire. On the one hand, I guess I need to add a little more ingame, onscreen instructional stuff. On the other hand.. People just want Klondike, don't they!!! So that'll be today's task. I still need to fix the "mode select" screen.. it's oddly cramped and yet curiously empty at the same time. Other than that, though, the games so far seem to be functional, and there's even a new Game Over screen for anything that uses scores. ... not sure how to solve the menu crampedness, though.... Hmm,....

Today's my birthday, so not much is planned for my day!

Strings is more or less functional, although it's missing different playmodes, and the scores aren't kept, but otherwise it's working!

Holy Munkies!!

Spent the past couple of hours rewriting the audio code, so it loads the sounds after first-mouse/touch, instead of all happening right off the bat.

Since managing to completely fudge the site up, last night, I then spent a few hours whittling away at Game #2.

You can Play Shoebox of Games here Over the course of a couple of weeks, in February 2019, I began the creation of a small collection of JavaScript games. My aim is to, over the next few weeks/months, to slowly expand the number of games included in the pack, to create a lovely little collection of card games, word games, board games and more, all of which are playable within your browser.

I've added semi-persistent score handling to the Shoebox Framework, along with plenty of space to add a decent selection of scores and things into the mix. You can Test the Shoebox here!

As far as I've been able to stress-test, the save/load functionality of the new Shoebox framework should now function correctly!

I think that, for the most part, the Spider Solitaire is now roughly ready to go, but the Framework is barely finished at all! You can test Shoebox here. Spider Solitaire oughta be good to go.

I started drawing some little icons last night, in as simple a method as I could find.

Right, I'm probably going to ignore the audio issue, and plough ahead regardless. The audio tweaks can be made in the future. After all, this engine is 100% javascript, so everything is really easy to tweak afterwards, unlike most of my normal games that require recompiling and reuploading and then the player to realise there's an update, and redownload it.
