When I was playing Golf Solitaire in my android chrome browser found an odd issue where the drag and drop card gets placed in the top left of the screen as seen in the attached screenshot.

Crikey! This game's harder to code than I remembered.

A couple of days ago, cooolgamer uploaded a bunch more levels for JNKPlat. There are (IIRC) 6 new packs of levels, so oodles to play through. Hopefully there's nothing "too" hard, but unfortunately I haven't actually had any time to even play the things yet. AGameAWeek is relentless You can either download them in-game, or head over to The Level Archive to download the level file yourself.

Board Layouts.. Not easy! But the main ones are in, now. Regular Scrabble, Super Scrabble, Words With Friends, and there's also the option for random layouts, so that's nice!! More to come..

I think it's probably about time that I get "Generic unbranded crossword game" into the Shoebox..

Me and Michael Fernie have been emailing back and forth, today, all about the recent Shoebox additions, and player feedback. Lots of new games added to Shoebox. Very nice. Seems like you are getting a bunch of comments too. That is exciting because people are playing. Indeed. Unlike my previous 400 games, these ones actually seem to be popular!! I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing!

Golf Solitaire isn't nearly as bad as Beleaguered Castle Solitaire! You can Play Golf Solitaire here in the Card Games section of the Shoebox.

I spent a good number of hours, yesterday, looking online for any rulesets that might make "Beleaguered Castle Solitaire" any better, but failed miserably to find anything. I did find a number of alternative solitaires that claimed to make the game a little harder, though, so.. Um.. Yeah, ok!!

Yeah, that did the trick.. The Shoebox now clutters your browser history! I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to remove the hundreds of references that are built up as you navigate through the games, but .. For now, at least, the Back Button on Android should now behave as you'd expect it to. Hurray!

I can't fathom this stuff out!

As the Shoebox continues to build, more and more and more comments are incoming! I've literally had more comments to the blog in the past couple of months than I have in the past decade!!

So, the Shoebox now has Level capabilities.. That's nice! I'm tempted to add something like Quadoban, or maybe a Kee-Bo-Ard, but that would definitely be crossing the border between physical and arcade.. I might need to come up with some way to mesh the styles together, somehow, and create a brand new sort of game. Hmm..

Al overshot the goal and starting going backwards. Is that correct? I think so.! This is something that I added to Snakes and Ladders, as it's been a rule we've always played at home, and since Board of Spikes is more or less a clone of Snakes and Ladders, I opted to leave that rule in. If that wasn't the case, then there's be no need to use a specific card to end the game. I felt that was more important than just letting the player use any card th...

All previous links will still work, and nothing should be broken by the HUGE change in Shoebox, since the new domain simply links to the same files in the same folder, and all the file access is relative. ShoeboxOfGames.com now exists! I bought the domain a couple of days ago, but only got around to setting it up properly, late last night. A more or less simple addition to the overall chaos of AGameAWeek.

Today I played Board of spikes and Ludo in android mobile. This is the first time I am playing shoebox of games in mobile and I found it to be a very good experience. Took a little bit of effort to place the ludo pieces initially but then it became easier.

A nice and quick game for today. Battle against AL or a friend, in this flipping strategy game. You can Play Reversi in the Shoebox, where you'll find it under the Misc games.

I think my head wants to have a play with a "Normal" AGameAWeek game.

Cordova can be a right pain, at times, but I'm finally starting to wrangle it into a suitable amount of functionality.

A simple Snakes'n'Ladders style game, using cards. Use one of the cards from your hand to select how many spaces you'll move. If you land on a Spike, turn it over to see what will happen. You'll either end up moving forwards or backwards, so lets hope that luck is on your side. You can Find 'Board of Snakes' in the Board Games of the Shoebox.

Unless my mind turns to mush again, I'm fairly confident that I should be able to finish the Spike Boardgame thing, today.

Player "Cristo" has submitted four lovely level packs for JNKPlat. You can either find them in the Online Levels section of the game, or grab them here if you need to download them manually (eg 3DS).

Still on a bit of a go-slow, here. It doesn't help that the weather's been absolutely gorgeous over the past few days, so much so that the need to sit and relax in the sunshine has taken precedence over standard coding duties.

Amazing how much a funeral hits you. I spent all day yesterday sitting about, playing Smash Bros, watching various YouTube things, and generally not really bothering to do any sort of coding whatsoever. Maybe today will be more productive?
