Rollyblob has been released, and not everyone's happy.
I thought I should make today's blog a bit of a "How it came to be what it is" tale.

Oh dear, that hasn't gone down very well, has it?!
Hmm..
First up came the issue with the Level Generator.
Things seemed to break fairly late in the project, meaning that different systems were generating different sets of levels.
For this reason, the online scoreboards were removed, as they'd be impossible to properly compare between all the different level sets.
Doing test after test after test, right up until the last minute, led me to accidentally upload a broken version of the game. .. And no...

Retro Broke!
Blog
19th June 2017
If you've downloaded RetroRaider-3 at any point today, you might want to re-download the game.
Whilst stress testing my level generator, I accidentally left a few "quirks" in there, including a cheat mode, and a "feature" that locks the game up and doesn't let you play.
Ooops..
A fix has been uploaded, so if you're stuck with the broken version, you should go and grab the new one.
The broken version sees the current level end if you hit the V key, and the whole game lock up if you try to load levels...

DevelopmentsI'm getting near to the goal, now. The game seems to have a good feel, and I spent about 20 minutes last night ensuring that every single one of the 81 (9x9 grid) levels would generate without any crazy array-out-of-bounds errors.Views 15, Upvotes 3

Each week, people share their thoughts with my games, and I like to make little community topics where I can answer/comment on their comments!
It's a comment-o-rama!
@TimeKillerGamesI find a little more effort could be put in to the title screens of some of your more recent games. Why not do what you used to do, and add a little more visuals of some kind to it?Views 156, Upvotes 41

For the past few years, I've been relying on my Archos Gamepad 2 to do all my in-dev testing.
Loads of work on my framework resulted in my OUYA games being nicely compatible with the device, so rather than constantly switching over to the actual OUYA or RazerTV to do small tests, I instead relied on the portability of the handheld Archos Gamepad 2.
