I'd planned to make a NeonPlat post, this morning.. But then, I've also planned to do WarioWare on Wednesdays.. .. and then there's the Music thing, which I've also decided to do on Wednesdays. ... Cracking game, this week! What started out as an unknown game, quickly became fantastically playable. A remake of the little WarioWare UFO Spike thing that I made last week, only with more spike things than is probably sane! In the end, the game's turned out quite a lot like a Geometry Wars clone. I wasn't expecting that, but there it is! Two fire buttons, Z for left fire, X for right fire. I wonder how long it'll take for people to realise that, without me having written it anywher...

I haven't really been updating this like I oughta be, so here's the "So Far" Day one (Tuesday 30th March 2010) Make it Big Decided to go with the "upped size" style, so set about redrawing all the old background tiles at a higher resolution. I considered making 50-odd brick tiles, and give them all a slight texture, but figured that'd kill your memory, so instead created an overlay texture that would be added to the screen once the game's done it's frame drawing....

I'd love to get a game done, but finishing the music thing, and sorting out the last bits of the Framework ready for first release? Well, that's going to take some time. So, after having attempted to create a racing game and a word game, I've finally settled on a game that appears to be coming together nicely. Ninja Duck (temporary name, but they usually tend to stick) is about a Ninja who has a sword, and an oncoming swarm of ducks, frogs and birds. I'm sat here at 11pm on Sunday night, trying to think of a game for Tuesday. It's not happening.. I've spent all week long adding games to the archive. That's to say, I've spent all week playing all my old games, and having a whale of a time.. I guess that has a disadvantage, being that I haven't coded jack all, all week. Oh well. We can miss one, right? Just means I need to make up for it next week. Can't have the ratio dropping!

The big-ass catalogue is now up to 68 games, and I've reached a bit of a stumbling block. First things first, here's this week's AGameAWeek game. I've done a few dozen "Get the Greens" before, so I figured I'd keep this one short. Simply put, get the greens, and avoid the holes.
