Have I mentioned how much I hate doing menus!?!

Creation Crate #2 popped up yesterday, only 2.5 weeks after the last one did, and it was a nice fun little build+code event.

Probably should've got back into the swing of coding, yesterday, but spent most of the day playing with my new GPD Win.

After all the gift giving, comes random spending on yourself!

Note : Boxing day is what we in the UK call the day after Xmas Day. I'm not sure why it's called that! Wiki! The day went rather uneventfully. A lazy morning, waking up rather late, but then using most of the morning to prepare for what was to come.

A standard Xmas in the house of Jay. The morning was spent unwrapping the insane amount of sweets that I'd been gifted. Since folk know not to buy me Chocolate (since it gives me migraines) and they're desperately trying not to resort to buying Xmas Socks, they all seem to end up buying me a curious variety of sweets. Each one trying desperately to find the most unique sweet they can, in a bid to outdo each other. I unwrapped an alarming number of Jelly Beans, yesterday!

Today is a day without my usual daily blog, mostly because I've been lazy, watching a lot of Festive TV, and am currently sat on the couch watching my Sister and her friend having a game of Scrabble, whilst typing this small bit of none-blog. Later on, I'll probably need to hook up the SNES Classic for a short while, but given that my NES Classic hasn't ever been hooked up, that's not too likely to happen! Anyhoo, Merry Xmas everyone, and if you don't do that sort of thing, then at...

I went over the checklist, last night, and .. Boy, is there still a lot to do!!

Some crazy coding, tonight, as I try to figure out how the Escape key should function in various bits of the Framework.

Although the thumbsticks are now working, and showing up in the Controller Config screen, neither of them are yet configurable.

I didn't wake up until about 12:30, today. Oops!

The new control system is coming together nicely, but the redefine functions are a bit messy, right now.

My monthly calendar reminder popped up, last night, to remind me to do all of my "full" backups.

Having a lot of these, lately! Perhaps it's a sign that things are getting close to the end? .. Or maybe I'm so far from the end, I'm starting to get frustrated, and drift off the plan!

With the controller doing proper feedback, now, it's time to look into integrating it into the framework.

I started the rewrite of the controller code, last night. Digging deep, I realised I could probably reuse quite a lot of the old code, since the engine already grabs Joystick data each frame, as well as using a bunch of good-old fashioned numbers to do a lot of the legwork.

Today's been a nice none-coding day. .. with coding in it! Rather than my usual coding, a package arrived.

Spent hours (literally hours) simply planning a method in my head, that would allow me to get the controller config page to work.
