I'll probably be spending most of today working on the actual gameplay of Ludo.

On the trail for the "Next Boardgame" candidate, I've opted for the one board game I have an absolute hatred of. (Just to get the thing out of the way!)

Lots of comments, lately, as the Shoebox has essentially thrown any kind of regular AGameAWeek schedule well out of the window. I should probably look into fixing that, and getting back to a more regular schedule. Hmm.. Anyway.. RSKGames has submitted a few thoughts on Cardagain, so let's have a post about that! To take my mind off the horrors of "Jack Change It", I've instead decided to test another compiled edition of the game.

As I sit and play the new "Party Mode" (Is that really the name for this?!) I'm starting to realise that there are still huge missing features in the ... feature!

Tried for the past few hours to see if I can get any vague "screen size" stuff to work.

With a little imagery on the buttons, things look a lot more functional, now.

Much like I did to Shoebox, last night, I've spent a couple of hours trekking through the various blog posts here, and automated them to create a single History page for Foldapuz. Foldapuz Highlights. Yesterday I had submitted 2 comments on the blog with link to 2 pictures I had uploaded in socoder. Hmm.. Well, I suppose that's probably my over-reactive Spam control in action, which perma-deletes anything that looks even slightly dodgy. I spent most of yesterday doing some techy reading, and planning ahead for Shoebox's future.

The "Four in-a Row" AL has been upgraded a little, this morning. It's not "Evil", and can still be beaten every other game, but it's making less mistakes than it was, earlier. Not a complete rewrite of the AI, but a fairly significant redoing of the way that the AI finds a final placement.

I'll be trying to tweak the audio engine again, today, to see if I can do 0.25-second length sounds, and have them play on all the usual browser targets.

There are an awful lot of elements that it would be great to add to the Shoebox framework, but first a few additional framework chunks need to be integrated.

The classic "hop over to remove" solitaire game is now part of the Shoebox. It's a simple enough game. Leap either horizontally or vertically over another counter, to remove it from the board. Your task is to remove all but one counter from the board. I wasn't aiming to make this game, but figured it would be a nice showcase for the Board functions. I'm now fairly happy with the way the generic board is scrolling and zooming on my iPhings, but the desktop version needs a lot more work.
