It's weird how many people have flooded my Twitter Inbox offering help on how to get various emulators and pirated games to run on my 3DS. I appreciate that most people hack their 3DS for such purposes, but I'm not that guy. I'm LITERALLY only doing this for my own games!

I can now launch, quit, relaunch, requit, re-relaunch, home, resume, sleep, resume, and quit the 3DS Framework, over and over, without it crashing!! Turns out, I had "gfxInitDefault();" occurring twice. Such is the chaos of my framework, took me bloomin' ages to find the bug.

Yesterday, I spent about 3 or 4 hours wrestling with DevKitPro, trying to figure out the best way to get my Framework running as 3DS Homebrew.

Everything seems nice and stable with the Win/Linux/Mac framework, but it's a shame that Android and iOS aren't currently part of the journey. What better time then, to choose to take a really odd detour, and see if I can squeeze in a little extra.

So, I scrapped the Sheep Herder engine, and started a new "time trial based" engine instead. I got a classic Thrust style gravity ship, popped it at the start of the track on the top left of the screen. Fire for Thrust and then left and right.

Quite a busy day, yesterday. Not only did I get the game finished off and posted, I also then tackled a couple of website things that I'd not yet bothered to do.

With each release comes an influx of feedback from the many people who've played the games. This week, @RSKGames takes a look at an underwater Snake clone. You can Download Slithering Waters here.

The title font design with the wavy pattern is nicely done.

(YouTube) I haven't yet given a name to this week's game. It's some kind of underwater snake-like creature. .. *shrugs* Thoughts in the comments. The fewer Google results, the better.

Oh, pants.. The iPad got down to 40% before crashing, today, and once plugged back in stated it had 3% battery remaining. That's really not good...

iPad died at 30% battery again, last night. That's not a good sign. Ignoring the imminent failure of my own technology, I spent most of yesterday trying to get iOS and Android working again, but failing to get anything going whatsoever.

I really need to work on the game, today. I've mostly neglected it for the past couple of days, and that's no good for AGameAWeek!

Spent nearly all of today working on 3D Printing stuff. Most of the day was focused on the little Pixelart tool I started last month. I wrote a little STL format exporter, and although it's all kinds of messy, the Slicer tool seemed to be quite happy with the garbled mess I was giving to it. As a result, this lovely little fella got printed out. Following on from that, I did a little bit of neatening to my Pixelart-To-3DModel app, and I've posted the results here, at SoCoder, where it&#...

Each week, an influx of thoughts and comments on that week's game bombard my inbox. Let's see what @RSKGames thinks about the biscuit game! You can Download "Roland Eats a Stale Biscuit" here

@RSKGames

Liked the player pushing the blocks animation. Liked the animation on level completion. Background score is melodious to hear. And thus ends the good points

Yeah, the "After eating, go crazy!" stuff isn't working out. The two sections, puzzle vs arcade, are TOO different, and don't really work well together. Having it happen every single level just became repetitive, far too quickly.
