OK, I think most of the vertical scrolling shoot-em-up is done for tomorrow's Browsercade release. I need to add some variation to the enemy waves, and try to get a couple of powerups in there, but otherwise it's .. Plain, generic, and shooting!!

I woke the MacMini up at around about 8pm. By 11:30 it was finally ready to start using. Update after update after update after update.. And even then I had to uninstall XCode and reinstall it (with a huge download to boot) in order to get it actually working. *sigh*

A few weeks ago, I was supposed to go for my Flu Jab, but that didn't happen. (I had a rather bad day, health wise, and couldn't make it.) Today, we do it all again! It's stabbing time, on Halloween!!!

Place all 40 cards (Ace to 10, all four suits) within the grid. Create "Jimps", matches between adjacent cards, to score points. Multiple Jimps score bonus points, and you can rack up combos by placing more multiples after each other. You can Play Jimper in the Shoebox, under Misc. I was tempted to add it to the Card Games section, but felt it was more Puzzle than Card, so it went into the Misc like Cardagain is.. Feel free to argue if you think that's wrong!!

"Jimper" is available in the Misc section of Shoebox. I'll be posting it to the site in a short while. Once that's done, along my usual flood of #ScreenshotSaturday tweets, it's time to get thinking about the next Browsercade game. *shrugs*

Pogo The Fridge

Liked the health bar mode for life instead of the 3 life stickers in the original. The fridge getting beaten up sprites for each bullet hit is a nice touch.

AL's currently playing at the level of "Beating Me Often", but it's been a LONG time since I played Chess, and I'm really not all that good!

Track down the snake's location. It exists between the 1 and the higher value. The snake winds its way through the grid, but won't ever rub against itself, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. (eg, there's always a gap around it.) You can Print a page full of Snake here, or Play Snake in your browser, here.

A quick remake of last week's Petit Switch game, and the return of your favourite spring-enhanced refrigeration unit! You can Play Pogo the Fridge in the Browsercade, in your Browser, on Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.

The Pogo game for Browsercade has mostly ended up exactly the same as the Petit Switch edition. I was aiming to add a few more features, but.. .. Haven't!

Last night I recorded footage of this week's Shoebox game. .. Or at least, I tried.

Pogo the Fridge on Switch has ended up being quite a lot more playable than the original game. Switching to an screen-based style of gameplay, instead of the scrolling of the original, and with the addition of an actual goal (Squish all the fruit!) the game's really a lot better than the original. .. Played Disk O' Green today and understood what you have mentioned about the maze generation issues yesterday. Found too many dead ends which leads to losing too many lives in many cases.
