Had a vague idea for a game, yesterday..

It's a return to the meatball infested arena in space, as you pilot your ship to pick up the stars. You can Play the game in the Browsercade, on Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.

OK, the swinging Spike thing has become a guy with a grappling hook, and it's quite fun to swing about the arena, but currently there's little or no purpose for doing so. That'll be today's task. .. since the game's due for release, today! Baddies, pickups, the usual suspects. Let's see where this one goes. Also, I could really do with adding some kind of mp4 clip uploader to the site, instead of having to say.. Here's a Twitter link for the clip!

I finally got away to the getaway island, last night. Isle Plat looks like it might become a lovely little island, but is currently full of weeds, and other nasty things that I need to take care of. What a lovely little island, though. A highly recommended getaway. #AnimalCrossing

I thought that, for this game, having a string of enemies would result in a more difficult enemy to beat.

The enemies for this week's game are slightly different than I imagined, but they seem to be spawning and roaming about the level in a decent way.

I figured I should give a brief explanation as to how I'm generating the levels in RetroRaider. This might become a regular series, so if you find this stuff interesting, be sure to let me know in the comments or email or twitter or whatever.. For RetroRaider, the map is split into an 8x8 grid, and each of those are split into a top and bottom. For the sake of making things easier on myself, I decided to make an 8x16 grid.
