Back to knitting, yesterday, as I added an alternative stitch type to the mix.

This is supposed to emulate a fluffier type of yarn, I think, where the yarn is tightly knitting at the cross-over points, but in between the yarn is allowed to "fluff up" and fill out more of the texture.
Or at least, I think that's why "proper" knits do that.

Not sure. I'm no knit expert!

Next I need to look into ways of making Knit/Purl combinations, but that would require adding "depth" to the image, since the real point of that kind of thing is to add uppy and downy bobbles and such.
Since depth is hard to illustrate without shadows, that means I need to consider lighting, too.
It's a rather complicated set of steps, and I'm really not looking forward to it!!
