The pixelart to knitting tool went through a number of tweaks, yesterday.

Along the bottom of the page, beside the Knit and Save buttons, are now little buttons to change the input and output resolution of the knit.

The "Stitch Size" can be changed from large to small, to allow larger images to still be knitted, or to make smaller images appear much bigger.
To accommodate this properly, I had to rewrite a chunk of the knitting code, to work in percentages rather than hard-coded values. It wasn't "too" hard to do, but it did end up taking WAY longer than I thought it would!

Beside it sits an "Image Detail" option.
This allows you to select between full width, 256 pixels, 128 or 64.
If you import a 1920x1080 desktop image, then obviously trying to knit that with each pixel being a 16x16 stitch, then the result will be insanely oversized!!
Selecting the 256 option will limit the knit to only being 256 stitches horizontally, and so on.

In addition, the knit style has been tweaked slightly to allow the stitches to be slightly taller than they are wide. This gives a much fuller feel to the knit, and looks .. almost.. believable.

The next step to the tool's functionality, will be to have it knit a background, too. At the moment, the background is simply a dark grey colour, but in reality, you should be able to see the back of the stitches.
I'm going to need to further investigate some proper knits to figure out exactly what should be visible, though.
