The kitchen is now 75% reorganised

-=-=-

The new Air Fryer "Oven" sits at the end of this bench, under the cupboard used to hold glasses.

We're both very much aware that it shouldn't be under a cupboard, but there's a decent enough amount of clearance above the Air Fryer, and the cupboard actually has a lip under it, so is in fact even higher than it at first appears.
There's also the kitchen extractor fan literally right above where it's situated. So..
*shrugs*

The new air fryer oven is just out of shot on the very left, here. The old air fryer is just after the main over on the right.

The kitchen is more or less organised, now, but one of the reasons we got the Air Fryer Oven is to see how well we can cope without using the large main gas-based oven at all.
We'll be giving it a fair shake of the sauce bottle, and over the coming weeks, will be analysing how much we actually make use of the gas oven.
Obviously, right now, we're still using the hobs on it. But if we can switch to this smaller Air Fryer oven, it means we could conceivably remove the large oven from the kitchen entirely. Once removed, a new set of worktops will be put in, meaning we'd get a whole lot of more-useable work surfaces, and we'll probably also spend some time replacing the cabinets to a more logical layout. .. At this point, we'd be clearing that space above where the new Air Fryer oven currently is, as well as doing away with the "they look neat, but you can tell it's a set of Ikea Alex drawers" that are awkwardly sitting in a random space in the kitchen!!

Yeah, that's a lot of work to be done, if I'm honest. But since we moved to the bungalow, we hadn't yet considered changing the kitchen in the slightest.
It's only since we grabbed this air fryer, that we're starting to realise the possibilities that the changes could bring.

The chicken came out of the oven's rotisserie, deliciously.

I guess this is something I should've known, all along, because I've had a very similar experience with all my decades of coding.
It's not about trying to figure out the grand scheme, all in one go. That's too big.
Sometimes it's about making a simple start, and then seeing where that takes you.

We're starting with an Air Fryer. We've already shuffled the layout of the appliances. And now we're finally considering reconstructing the rest of the kitchen.
.. But maybe one bit at a time!
