I spent MORE time with PixelCubes, yesterday. I really need to focus on the Advent..

The latest version of my WebGL Shader (.. am I writing a WebGL Shader?! How did that happen!?!) now has both a little bit of overall-blur, mixed in with my "only blur things that are behind" methodology, and the result is, IMHO, a lot better than the simple Bokeh shader that everyone says is the be-all end-all of WebGL based focus blur.

Again, that's straight out of Pixelcubes, and if you zoom right in, you can still see a little bit of "blur seepage", but it's not too bad now. It's been reduced down to a light fuzz.
There's enough of a blur around the plat signal to give the illusion of a half-decent attempt, and overall I think the effect is much better than previous attempts.



Which is probably more than enough to start faffing about with the GUI.
Over in the Discord, it was revealed that the GUI is incredibly broken on certain browsers, so I think the entire interface probably wants a complete redo-from-start.
Not 100% sure what path to take, but if I can end up with something a little less. um.. "Jayenkai", then I think that might help a ton.
More obvious layer loading, more precise controls, and then a new panel for doing lighting and camera positioning.
And maybe a load/save function might help, too.

It was Bonfire Night over here in the UK, last night, where everyone sets off fireworks for hours and hours and hours.
I captured about an hour's worth of "boom, pop, bang", but nothing seemed workable.
"I wonder what Suno would make of it", I wondered...
