I'm not 100% sure where this game will end up.
The engine feels like it "should" be a game, but currently it's FAR too difficult, and the player sprite keeps hopping up over the top of the screen, so that needs to be fixed.
It's a basic "hop to the other side", except the bouncy mushroom things will insta-bounce the player, so it basically forces you to keep on going.
But is kinda broken.
But is less broken than my other attempts at games, this week, so this is probably what we're going to end up with!
Needs pickups, I reckon.
And perhaps something other than a bland blue void to play in!!!
Yep.. Plenty to do.
[Dave is struggling to move his couch back into the living room. Green enters.]
Green: Dave, what on earth are you doing?
Dave: I'm rearranging the furniture, Greenie. So that it still has all the space for VR, but also looks a bit more like a living room.
Green: Ah, trying to find a balance between your latest obsession and actual liveability?
Dave: Exactly! As well as keeping the fung shoes and zen.
Green: Feng Shui. Placing your furniture in just the right places.
Dave: Yeah. Those.
Green: Well, as long as we get ten minutes of there being no horrific incidents in here, that'll be Feng Shui enough for me.
Dave: I'm creating the perfect VR-ready living space.
Green: Let's hope so, eh?
[Scene Two]
Int. Dave's apartment - Afternoon
[Dave is now trying to position his TV while keeping his VR space clear]
Dave: Greenie, grab hold of that end.
Green: Are you sure this is a good idea? Remember your multiple Wii incidents.
Dave: Don't worry, I've got this all planned out. And if I break more than 8 tvs, I'll put up some sort of acrylic screen or something.
Green: Eight? Eight's your limit, there? Eight broken TVs?
Dave: It's fine, Greenie. Eight is the perfect number. It's 1000 in Binary.
Green: 1000 TVs sounds like the number you destroyed with the Wii.
[Scene Three]
Int. Dave's apartment - Evening
[The room is now rearranged, with a clear space for VR and the furniture pushed to the sides]
Dave: There! What do you think, Greenie?
Green: It looks... interesting. Like a cross between a living room and a padded cell.
Dave: Perfect! That's exactly what I was going for.
Green: You were going for 'padded cell'?
Dave: Well, no, but it's safe for VR now. Watch this!
[Dave puts on the VR headset and immediately stumbles into a lamp]
Dave: Oops!
Green: [sighs] I'll grab the fire extinguisher. Just in case.
Dave: [still wearing the headset] No need, Greenie! I've got this under control. I'm in a huge tunnel!
Green: Dave, that's not a tunnel. Turn the headset on.
Dave: [Flailing Wildly] Weee!
Green: Dave.. Where'd you put the Fire Extinguisher?
Dave: I got rid of it. There's no need, now. I have the VR one in here.
Green: [shaking his head] Only you, Dave. Only you.
