They planned the methodology for the living room, and started with a great big hammer, smashing up the old plaster around the plastered-over-door in the wall.
Oh, hey, it's not a door.
It's just badly rendered plasterboard that was falling to bits!
Woot!
So, they stripped that out, added new plasterboard, levelled things off, and tomorrow (today, I'm writing this yesterday!) they'll be skimming the wall making it all nice and shiny (as shiny as plaster is) and new.
On top of that (literally) is the ceiling. There's a slight bow, and it's apparently quite fragile according to neighbours.
So, the builders started by finding where the current joists are, and planned out a methodology to criss-cross a new set of joists over them.... or under them..!
They're, again, finishing that off tomorrow, then rendering it all with some plasterboard and the hope that it all stays up there.

As for the Artex on the Chimney-breast wall, they're not 100% sure what the best method for that is, yet. They're bringing in a bunch of tools and such to figure out the best way to do it, and hoping they won't need to sand/remove the Artex, as that'll cause dust, and possibly even dangerous dust at that.
Guess we'll see what's happening at some point tomorrow.
And I likely won't get much coding/musicalling done tomorrow again.
Int. Dave's apartment - Evening
[Dave is hunched over a calculator, surrounded by crumpled papers and empty Coke bottles. Green is lounging on the couch, looking exasperated.]
Dave: [excitedly] Greenie, I've almost got it! If we sell 10 million copies of Burrow Office at £99.99 each, minus VAT, plus the exchange rate for international sales, carry the two...
Green: Dave, don't you think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself?
Dave: Nonsense! We need to be prepared for our imminent success. Now, let's see... if we deduct the cost of producing all those floppy disks...
Green: 53 each, right?
Dave: Oh, no I'm up to 56 now. I added a big jpeg of a bunny.
Green: [sighs] Dave, our YouTube video has only had 37 views so far.
Dave: [pauses his calculations] 37? Amazing! We've more than quadrupled our audience!
Green: Yes, and at this rate, we'll hit 10 million views sometime in the next century.
Dave: We're gonna need a bigger box of disks!
[Scene Two]
Int. Dave's apartment - 30 minutes later
[Dave is now pacing around the room, gesticulating wildly with a pencil]
Dave: Okay, so if each of those 37 viewers tells 37 of their friends, and then those friends tell 37 more...
Green: Dave, we've been through this. That's not how it works.
Dave: But it could be! You never know, Greenie! Look at all my coke merchandise. That started as just a few bottles, and now look at it.
Green: Yes, and now your entire apartment is a shrine to carbonated beverages. Is that really the model you want to follow for Burrow Office?
Dave: Of course! Burrow Office will be just as addictive as Coke. People won't be able to live without it!
Green: The only thing addictive about Burrow Office is how often it crashes.
Dave: [gasps] How dare you! It only ever crashes at 3 minutes past the hour.
Green: Every hour..
Dave: It's not my fault. That's when all the Bunny cells try to find their carrots.
[Scene Three]
Int. Dave's apartment - Late evening
[Dave is back at his calculator, while Green is trying to distract himself with a book]
Dave: Alright, I've got it figured out. If we become as big as Microsoft, we'll be able to afford a solid gold statue of a rabbit for every user!
Green: Dave, we've not sold a single copy yet, and now you're planning solid gold statues?
Dave: It's called thinking big, Greenie! Next we need to find a bank that's willing to stash away our billions.
Green: [distracted] Aaah, banks. I should have stayed in that bank job. At least there, the only bug I had to worry about was the Millennium one.
Dave: [oblivious] Oh, and remind me to call that comedy club again. Once Burrow Office takes off, I'll have plenty of new material for my triumphant return to stand-up.
Green: [sarcastically] Of course, Dave. I'm sure your jokes about Bill Gates, ancient PCs, and rabbit cells will be a hit with the 2024 crowd.
