Spent HOURS yesterday doing the Salford Neurosurgery appointment.

-=-=-

It took us roughly an hour to get up to the hospital, and then the traffic coming back was infinitely worse, leading to about an hour and a half to get back.
There was also an hour or so wait in-between, whilst the Patient Transport driver had to get up through the traffic in the first place.
Such a bloomin' long time.
Ugh...

The actual appointment lasted about 20 minutes or so, with the latest Neurosurgeon having to dig through all the details, reading through mountains of stuff, but taking her time and having a proper good read.
"So, what WAS the cyst?" she asked, trying her best to gleam the answer from all the mountains of text in front of her.
"No idea.. They never told me what it actually was."
I explained about my first month in hospital, waiting for the "Cancer or not" response, but that after that, nothing more was really ever mentioned of what the thing was.
She dug deeper, but didn't seem to find anything at all related to WTF the thing was.

Aw well..
She made a HUGE list of all my surgeries, and dictated it all into her 1970s-style dictaphone for later retrieval, and to send a copy off to my GP. ... But which GP!?

She also got me up to do a few balance tests, which didn't go well in the slightest, and quickly sat me back down again!

She seemed somewhat happy with my condition of "not really getting any worse", and even showed me some fascinating MRIs from my 2020 drama, where the shunt broke down, all the fluid went EVERYWHERE in my brain, and then a second MRI once the new shunt was in.
My god, it was quite the difference!!!
Grey brain image with giant white lakes of rampant brain goo, all over the damn place..
*shudder*

She suggested that the annual MRI scan likely won't help. If the shunt breaks down again, it's going to be noticeable to both me and mum WELL before any scheduled MRI might show it up, since it'll happen far too quickly.
So.. yeah, that's reassuring...!!!

Meanwhile...

Halfway through the Neuro appointment came a text. We're now fully registered with the new GP. Hurray!
This morning, then, I had to spend about an hour farting about with logins, registrations, app installs and more, so that we (hopefully!) have an easy way to access surgery stuff.
Not 100% sure Mum can manage to do that, though, so hopefully the reception is on hand should she ever need to do things without my assistance.
I really do need to get her to do the finger-ID setup on her phone.. It'd make a lot of things easier, especially in the Password department!

But that's all set up, now.
Now all I need to do is phone around the 6 or 7 places that need me to tell them about the new GP.
Ugh...

Meanwhile, Meanwhile...

New shed sticks out like a sore thumb!
True, it's because it's bloody freezing, and there's a thin layer of ice on everything, this morning, but it still definitely needs painted to blend in a teensy bit better!

Shopping List
Paint for shed
Padlock for shed

More spending! Eeek..
