We're still waiting for a 100% tick on the sale of the house, but apparently everything Bungalow Side is good to go.
We're 95% of the way there.
Let's just hope the buyers don't pull out, now, after waiting so damn long.

Meanwhile...

Got a new hospital appointment, this morning, for November 24th..
Having to get from a possible new home, all the way to the hospital, by 9:30 in the morning?
Hmm..
That's if we're even there, by then.
Knowing my luck, it'll be the same day we're moving, and I'll have to cancel it!
.. Because I'm not doing both on the same day!

New TV arrived.
Can you tell which is which?

The TV is an Amazon FireTV, 4-Series, 43 inch : 4K43N400U (£249 at time of purchase)

Seems OK, though the interface can be a little sluggish at times, taking a couple of seconds to flick between channels. Nothing major, but .. you know.

Had to dig through to disable as much of the Motion stuff as I could, as the output would occasionally stutter between scene changes.
Note to manufacturers/coders : if you haven't coded a good function, don't enable it by default! Grrr..

I also had to switch off as many of the Amazon/Alexa features as I could, disabling the ability to say "Alexa, buy me a PS5!" and such. Don't want that happening. Nor do I want the easy ability to click on a movie on Amazon Video only for it to go "Oh, you don't own this.. It's ok, I'll add it to your bill.. Now you can watch it! \o/yeay\o/ "
Turned all that shit off.
Now it's just a bland telly with a few extra features.

One nice, and completely unexpected thing, is its ability to handle Apple Airplay on its own. I'm pretty sure I didn't see that on any of the purchase page, so it's great to have that functionality in the TV itself, instead of needing the additional AppleTV to do it.

So far, so good, then.
If anything unexpectedly horrific shows up, I'll let you know.

Oh yeah, every app I've installed (BBC iPlayer, ITV X, Channel 4, Paramount Plus, etc) has shown up as a "purchase" in my Amazon Orders list!!

The video's about halfway done, but I think I need an overlay for everything, so the captain can sing along with the computer.
