Moving Jay : Day Thirty Six : Surveyed Blog

The surveyor came, wandered about the house, stomped his feet to check the floors, tapped at walls, checked the gas/electric meters, and generally hunted for every terrible thing he could.

-=-=-

He wouldn't tell us anything. He's the buyer's surveyor, and they paid him good money, so why tell us what's going on?
I guess that makes sense.
Frustrating, but makes sense.

I'm wondering if this might be a good "tool" to have in future.
Once we've done the bungalow up to our standards, pay for another surveyor and get them to write us a horror-report on all the things we've missed!

If all of the current plans fall through, me and Mum have decided that that's probably a good way forward, here. To get our own surveyor (maybe the same guy?) to write us a report on what might be wrong with the current house, so we can go through all of this crap once more.
.. But with anything the surveyor might pick up on, fixed, for a different buyer.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that, though. We haven't spotted anything horrific ourselves, so it's all down to whatever he may or may not have spotted during his analysis, yesterday.

.. Aargh!!

At the very least, they should send you a copy of the report, right!?
Surely that's good manners!
*tsk*
