Ugh. I certainly will be happier once we no longer have to deal with the solicitor. Between sending us identical forms because we're selling AND buying (goodness, how unusual!) and ringing us up just to freak us out about things we've already done, it's all been a whole lot of stress and intense craziness since the solicitor got involved.

I thought they were supposed to be the people that actually help you get through things?

Power

Woke up at 6:40am to everything in my bedroom beeping and whizzing and whirring after a (roughly) 30 second power cut.
Ugh..

Over the time we've been in this house, we've barely had any issues at all with the power supply. About 10 plug fuse changes in the 36 years we've been here is quite the stat. Our power is smooth, clean, and steady.
It's rare that we have power outages, and when we do it's merely a blip on the scope, and you usually only notice when everything start to beep at you.

But I'm now finding myself worrying about the bungalow, and how steady that electric might be.
I should probably invest in a UPS, I think, to at least keep my NAS from imploding via any odd power glitches.
APC by Schneider seems to be the standard, as far as Amazon's concerned, with various shapes and sizes.
I'll need to decide what things are going to be plugged into it, before I get one.
It probably helps that I've no desktop PC to keep powered up, any more. Just the laptop on charge.
Instead, it'll probably be just for the NAS, the router, and maybe the printer, too, to stop it having a noisy freak-out any time the power glitches.

*sigh* another crazy expense before the move, and I really could've done with thinking about this during Amazon's Prime Day. .. But, hey ho. At least we got a cheap fridge for the move!
