Ever more complicated nonsense from Socoder2.

The basic idea of a daily poll, which refreshes each and every morning, allowed me to use the "it happens every day" script to run some background tasks.
The daily poll would announce birthdays, fix up any quirky topic numbering, and even do general database backups!
It's my cron of php scripts, in the world of SoCoder.

I started to rewrite the poll script for SoCoder2 yesterday, and managed to get most of the actual polls up and running, but it doesn't yet do the daily chores that the old one did.
I'm thinking it may be slightly more logical to do those in other places, rather than relying on one giant script to do everything all at once.
Maybe split the chores up into various scheduled timeslots throughout the day.
That's probably what I'll be working on, today.
I think..

Meanwhile, my evening game-coding session was somewhat ruined when I discovered the Junkball Media Channel on YouTube, and wound up spending all night watching Star Trek related videos.
DAMN YOU, YOUTUBE!!! *shakes fist*
