New laptop's all up and running!

Did a Archos Gamepad 2 test, and all signs are that my Android devkit is operational.
Windows .exes are running "On my computer", so that's also good.
And with everything in place, I figured it was a good time to create a System-Restore-Backup-Thumbdrive, so clicked the little icon in the Start menu, slapped a thumbdrive into the USB, and clicked "GO!!"
..
And it went..
And the system crawled at an unusable speed, so I had to leave it to do it's thing.

I went off to play Zelda, thinking "Can't take THAT long!! I'll do a little cooking, make some elixers, then get back to the laptop.."

I played Zelda for about an hour, looked over at the laptop, and the progress bar was barely halfway.

Nearly 3 sodding hours, in all, it took.
And you just know that, when it comes time to actually use the backup, the resulting restored version of Windows will be a horribly mangled unusable mess.. Because.. Microsoft!!!

Fiddlesticks.

By the end of the day, I eventually had a usable laptop.
A few tests are proving that it's a fairly sturdy little thing.
I got a Dell Inspiron 15-5000, with a Core i5-7th Gen processor, 8Gb Ram, and other various tech that'll mostly go unused.
It needn't be a powerhouse. It needs to be a devkit..
And it runs Monkey-X, so that's good enough for me.

I got a little bit of coding done, last night. Added basic pathfinding, and a generic looking swoopy level intro swipe thing.

Today, it's finally time to get some fun gameplay added to this game.
