An unexpected bonus choon!

Yesterday, KORG released an update to their wonderful Gadget app, which included a brand new instrument called Arp ODYSSEi.
The instrument is a set of classic KORG synthesisers with oodles of little nobs and dials and switches and toggles and other lovely things.


So many buttons!!

Just like with the previous Modules and iM1 apps, you use the app on it's own to create and save your synth instruments (200 presets are also available), then you switch over to Gadget where the two apps integrate with one another, and you can use those lovely synths inside your music.
Awesome stuff!

As such, I spent a fair amount of time, yesterday, playing with that instead of coding.
Ooops!

Portal

Hurray!
Valve's X360 title, The Orange Box, has finally been added to XBone's Backwards Compatibility list, so I popped the disc in, waited about an hour for it to install, then had a quick game of Portal.
Cracking stuff.
No complaints, here!

Phone

Mum's phone's been getting worse over the past few days.
The screen's been scratched like crazy for quite a while, but over the past week or so it's been intermittently resetting itself.
An old refurbished iPhone 4S, in desperate need of an upgrade.
..So we got her a nice new SE, and I spent a while, yesterday, trying to copy everything across.
Unfortunately, her MicroSIM doesn't fit, since the SE needs the newer NanoSIM.
I would've dared to snip the thing down a little, but the sim is already an old original sized sim, which has been cut down in size once before, to be a MicroSIM.
I wasn't sure if it was safe to cut it any further..
Instead, she's popping into the O2 shop, later today, and hopefully they can sort it out.

Developments

On the actual coding side of things, I added enemy and collectables to Gamma E, but didn't get around to adding the player AI. That'll be today's task.
If I hadn't spent half the day playing with phones, portals and musical instruments, I'm fairly sure I'd've gotten more done

Hopefully I can get more done, today.

There's a nice gentle breeze outside, and it's not raining for a change.
Time to peg out some more washing.
