Last Wednesday was Amazon Prime day!
I trawled through their gaming offers, and did find myself looking at both PS4 and XBone.
My rule of thumb is Three. If I can come up with three games that I'd like to play on a console, then the console is worth buying.
It's been 3 years since both PS4 and XBone were released, and browsing their gamelists, I still can only find one single game that's tempting me.
.. And I already own GTAV on PS3.
.. And I can't play it for more than 10 minutes without feeling sick from all the movement!

In the end, all I bought was a Scanner.

Photo Extractor

When scanning photos into my system, I tend to slap a bunch of them onto the plate, scan the bunch at once, then have to painstakingly crop and cut out all the photos later.
I figured it'd be handy to have a tool which would do the majority of the work for me.
I scoured the internet, and everything that appeared to do the job had a pricetag attached.

And so, almost inevitably, I ended up writing my own.

Over the past couple of days, since I got the scanner, I've been tweaking and rejigging the horribly messy code, in order to get it to vaguely work.
It now does the job intended without any obvious side effects, and it's nice and easy, too.

Put scanned group into Input folder, run .exe, select photos, save.
Job done!

Daily Doodle : Another Flat

Platdude's certainly going through a lot of tyres, lately.
He's starting to wonder if, perhaps, the Scrapyard isn't the best place to get his tyres from.
