Yesterday, I spent several hours doing one thing!

Developments

One single boss!
One!
And it took me about 5 hours to get it working right.
Luckily, a lot of the code is reusable, so fairly soon after having gotten that one boss to work, I managed to get 6 of them working, but they're all pretty similar in what they do. They're all "Type-1 Boss"

Today I might tackle Type-2, and see how far I get with that.

Most of the complexity of Type-1 (and indeed all future bosses) comes from having to switch the camera to a more centred view.
Instead of the usual game's "you're on the left" view, the game tries it's best to focus on both you and the boss, without suddenly jerking about like my rubbish cameras usually would!
As well as that, I have to lock the player into the small "Boss Mode" area, and also ensure that the entire thing will fit onto most screen's ratios and resolutions.

Difficult, but I *think* I managed to get it all going ok.

We'll see!

Daily Doodle : Mowing

Platdude bought a proper lawnmower, and is managing to do the lawn nicely, this time.
.. Just a shame it's now the middle of Winter, all his flowers have died off, and nobody cares how neat his lawn looks.

But, hey, that's Black Friday sales for you!
