Moving Jay : Day Twenty Six : Coding Blog
15th July 2023
Not much going on with the house move, on our side, in recent days, so got to spend another day tappity-tapping a game into existence.

-=-=-

Delving into the back of old Wednesday Workshops, I noticed one that's a half-unfinished version of what would become the Burst the Stars mechanic.
It's very fast, but in a "I never added frame rate limiting to my original Blitz engine" sort of way.

This new version's the exact opposite, as GotoJSE struggles to collide tons of moving rocket-objects with 25 boxes.
Hmmm.
It works, though, as long as you've a decent system to run it on.

You can Play Swirly Squares here.
Click a single box, and try to destroy the target number of boxes.
The original Wed.Workshop edition can be found here.

Gosh, that's a lot of links. My Coding Mojo is definitely coming back! .. Still not quite ready for screenshots, youtube, upload, etc..

Meanwhile..

Rewatched another New Quantum Leap episode, as well as the recent Star Trek : Strange New Worlds episode, and then an insane number of YouTube videos because I've kinda been neglecting doing that, recently.

Yesterday felt very much like a normal day, with no crazy Solicitor's emails or anything nasty like that.
Just a plain, normal, ordinary day.

Woot!

Fireworks

And then at 3 in the morning, a giant set of fireworks were set off, somewhere in the village, and that woke me up..
.. Who sets fireworks off at 3 in the morning!?!
Nnngh..
