The Eggcups disappeared.

TV-AM ended in the UK after just 9 and a half years on the air.
The "Channel" was a breakfast TV channel that was allocated a section of airtime during the mornings on the ITV network.

It's a fairly complicated affair, but Bob The Fish made a wonderfully detailed video about it, a number of years ago.

I wasn't planning to mention TV-AM at all, but partway through doing the SpikeVent I crafted a nice stripy theme, and realised how much it reminded me of the TV-AM logo.
I obviously needed to draw an eggcup, then, so that's what happened, and fairly soon afterwards I started thinking about going the whole hog and making a silly ALChoon version of the theme tune.
Then it struck me.. When exactly did TV-AM end?
.. and it was 30 years ago, today.

I opted to hold off this theme, then, and make it a special event.
I hope you enjoy it, and that it makes you think of giant Rats and bright pink Mallets.
