Another Test Blog
1st October 2022
Sorry all, you're already sick of these and I'm making more and more and more.

-=-=-

Today's test includes streaming mp3 music.
You can Test 7g here.

How well will the server be able to handle all that streaming audio?
I honestly haven't got a clue, which is kinda why I've done it.
My server stats over the past few months have suggested that I should at least have the bandwidth for it, but.. Will it cope?!
Who knows..

Another tweak since yesterday is the screen scaling, which has been implemented to (hopefully) aid in higher resolution devices.
Whether it will, no idea. We'll have to wait and see.

Other than that, the stress-levels of particles are still there, as is the background skew. Both of those should hopefully vanish in a day or two.

Oh, and there's also now an "Easier Spike" level on the main menu.
As Trey Dahlberg suggested yesterday, it IS a lot harder than "Classic SpikeDislike"..
Except the chunkier spikes is how SpikeDislike was originally envisioned.. You can see here that everything chunkier and is a little harder to play.

During the initial code session, I decided to add a "Spike_Chunky" variable, to allow for that, and I'm glad I did.
It might be harder in that mode, but .. That's half the fun, right!?

Today's task will be to do the score saving stuff.
Figure out the best way to allow for as many numbers as possible, with extra slots for Number of Plays, Highest Combos, etc whilst still keeping it all as small a size as possible.
Eeek!
