Well, I got the music "working"...

-=-=-

The music is now working well alongside the sounds. I can have channels 1 and 2 for music, and 3 and 4 for sounds.
Took more than a little fiddling to stop it from glitching like crazy (screens full of odd noise kinda glitches!) but I eventually got it playing nice.

Oddly, I can't seem to change the tempo of the music.
It seems to be tethered to the refresh-rate of the screen, no matter how much I tweak the mod file.
Curious!

But it'll do. It's close enough!

The rest of the framework is more or less functional.
I think I might move the scrolling message up to the top of the titlescreen, though. Doing that means I can use the GUI "split" and leave that permanently onscreen.
Then I don't have to keep turning the split off and on, which causes the screen to flicker for a frame each time, between the game and the menu system.

I still haven't managed to upscale the "game logo" (currently just Platdude).
I "can" upscale him a bit, but if I try to scale him too far, he ends up taking ages for the larger image to get drawn to the screen.
I'm now wondering if it might be faster to read the pixels of the image, and draw a bunch of rectangles..
Might as well try it!
